Enthusiasts, the well-known American athletic apparel firm, has refuted any arrangement with wagering provider Amelco to establish a sports wagering website for the brand.
Last week, reports circulated that Enthusiasts had reached an accord with Amelco to construct a sports betting product.
However, a representative for Enthusiasts declared that no agreement exists with Amelco at this juncture.
Enthusiasts, which secured a substantial $1.5 billion in financing this January, has been regarded as a formidable competitor to expand from sports memorabilia into the realm of sports betting.
Last year, the enterprise was among the bidders for New York sports betting operations. Enthusiasts and the Barstool brand, owned by Penn Entertainment, were designated as operators in the Kambi proposition.
Regrettably, this proposition was unsuccessful.
Instead, a consortium led by FanDuel, encompassing DraftKings, BetMGM, and Bally Bet, along with another Kambi proposal – including Caesars Sportsbook, PointsBet, Resorts World, Rush Street Interactive, and Wynn Bet – were selected.
The company also initiated a betting and gaming division last year, headed by Matt King, who previously led FanDuel. They are presently recruiting over 40 positions in betting and online gaming.
DAZN, a digital streaming platform, is joining the emerging trend of wagering providers. They have partnered with Pragmatic Group to introduce a fresh betting offering called DAZNBet.
